Dates for 2006 Summer Season - The Question Of Power.

Pitlochry's 2006 Season 12 May - 21 October 2006 includes A Woman of No Importance by Oscar Wilde, Summer Lightning adapted by Giles Havergal from the novel by P.G. Wodehouse, Man Of The Moment by Alan Ayckbourn, Chimneys by Agath Christie in its European premiere (these 4 open and run in rep from May) joined in July by The Grapes of Wrath adapted by Frank Galati from John Steinbeck's novel and in August by Hamlet: The Actors' Cut the First Quarto and shorter version of Shakespeare's play.

During the Summer Season there will also be visiting productions (various times) and music events (mainly on Sunday evenings in July and August), workshops on crafts and the arts, youth workshops in July and August. Check out www.pitlochry.org.uk for details.

In the Winter Season there will be themed weekends.

A Woman of No Importance - Pitlochry Theatre Company - Lady Hunstanton's having a house party and her protege Gerald Arbuthnot is there, but his morther has a secret one which could destroy them both but Lord Illingworth's job offer means she has to take action.

Summer Lightning - Pitlochry Theatre Company - Lord Emsworth's prizewinning pig disappears, his secretary's falls in love with his niece while his brother is writing memoir of his misspent youth. A dramatisation by Giles Havergal of P.G. Wodehouse's gloriously funny novel.

Man Of The Moment - Pitlochry Theatre Company - Scottish Premiere of the award winning Alan Ayckbourn black comedy about a have a go hero and the crook he foiled. !7 years later the ex-crook's a Chat show host and the hero's double glazing. Enter an ambitious TV journalist who wants to reunite the two at the ex-crook's Spanish villa.

Chimneys - Pitlochry Theatre Company - The European premiere of Agatha Christie's "lost play" that was first produced in Canada in 2003. Set in 1926 in England as a Balkan state's oil are discovered and HMG organises a secrete meeting at the great English country house The Chimneys with the heir to the throne of Herzoslovakia.
Review - Captures the spirit of Christie.

Hamlet: The Actors' Cut - Pitlochry Theatre Company - This is the version published by some Shakespeare's own actors, about half the length of epic we are used to this First Quarto edition is fresh, fast and accessible and full of changes. A rare chance to see a production of this striped down play.
