A good mixed programme from a manager with an eye for quality. Check out website for earlier events in April/May. Trainspotting - Mark Goucher Ltd - Based on by Irvine Welsh's novel where Renton, Sick Boy and Begbie self distructive journies are played out against the challenging and dire experiences of drug users and abusers. Adapted & directed by Harry Gibson who first directed it in 1996. This UK touring production contains nudity and scenes that may shock - not suitable for children. Review - Highlights the pathetically comic. 19 - 20 May.

BOWHILL THEATRE website at Bowhill 3 miles outside Selkirk. Small intimate theatre in the Victorian game larder of Bowhill House. Also with an well designed exhibition on James Hogg the Ettrick Shepherd and writer. Country Park open May - August. House open in July.
