Half Life - Necessary Angel Theatre Company (Canada), Perth Theatre
and The Tron Theatre A co-production. - What shines through when memory
fades away? Clara and Patrick meet in a nursing home and begin to fall
in love, thinking they are rekindling an old flame. While the couple rediscover
beauty and love in the twilight of their lives, their relationship sparks
different reactions in their children. John Mighton offers clues and plays
tricks to keep us guessing at the truth. Directed by Daniel Brooks.This
Perth Theatre co-production is touring Toronto, Quebec City, Montreal
and Ottawa.

Ubu The King - Tron Theatre Company / Dundee Rep / Bite:05 / Barbican
/ The Young Vic - As part of Young Genius - Alfred Jarry's glorious,
scandalous Ubu The King is given a contemporary twist in this adaptation
of Alfred Jarry's play by David Greig. Gerry Mulgrew stars as the vulgar
and foul-mouthed Ubu as an elderly Macbeth for our modern world. Aided
and abetted by his wife, Dad Ubu rises to power by assassinating King
Vassily of Khazakstan and taking his crown.

Macbeth - Out of Joint - Relocating Shakespeare's classic to an
African state, Max Stafford Clarke directs this compelling site-specific,
promenade production. With two sell-out runs in London already and a limited
capacity for performances in Edinburgh, we advise booking early for this
show. At India Buildings, entrance through Cowgate.

Twelfth Night - Theatre Royal Plymouth and Thelma Holt - Matthew
Kelly plays Malvolio in Patrick Mason's take on Shakespeare's play about
shipwrecked twins the havoc they and Sir Toby Belch nearly create to lovelorn
Orsino and Olivia.

chilling adatation of Susan Hill's gripping novel has thrilled the West

Tangier Tattoo - - Glyndebourne - J Lunn's opera. Sung in English. An
operatic thriller designed to appaeal to 20 - 30 year olds in its world
premier.

National Beijing Opera Company Of China - Scottish Premieres Lead
by the renowned Yu Kuizhi and Li Shengsu a troupe of 50 actors and musicians.
Beijing Opera is a blend of of dance, drama, music, mime and acrobatics
and goes back to the 13th century. The plays reflect this dramatic form's
considerable range.
Forest OF The Wild Boars - A tale of jealousy, murder plots and
redeeming friendship based on the literary classic All Men Are Brothers.

love story filled with incarnations, magic herbs and undrwater spirits.

Ketzal - Derevo - Ketzal is Anton Adassinsky's déjà
vu of the body; it is a song of the body. After years of working in a
number of different modes - from romantic stories in Once to heavy metal
in La Divina Commedia, from mystical stories in Red Zone to ballads in
Islands in the Stream - Derevo returns to an idea of onstage simplicity.

Peter Pan - Northern Ballet Theatre - A new production by David Nixon
based on J M Barrie's 100 year old play with designs by Peter Mumford
and music by Stephen Warbeck. From a company who fuses theatre and dance
to create magic. Take flight with Wendy, her brothers and that boy who
wouldn't grow up Peter Pan.

Rebecca - Starring Michael Havers as Maxim de Winter in Frank Mcguinness's
adaptation of Daphne de Maurier's thriller in a production which goes
on from Edinburgh to London and New York.

Matthew Bourne's Highland Fling - Re-choreographed and redesigned new
version of Bourne's 1994 reworking of La Sylphide. A young Jimmy from
Glasgow is drawn from his nuptial bed and taken on a journey, full of
the humour and zest of Bourne.

Crossings by Clare Duffy - Sgript Cymru - World Premiere. From
Wales' new writing company comes this story of Jane and her journey to
find out about herself and what it means to be young, in love and alive
in a confusing world. (Crossings contains some strong language and one
scene of a sexual nature.) Trav 2.
Review - One
actor really serves script.

The Third Man - Red Shift Theatre Company - In 1948 Vienna people
reinvent themselves when novelist Rollo Martins' friend dies he discovers
a trail of intrigue in by Jonathan Holloway's adaptation of Graham Greene's
evocative novel.
Review - Decent
show but not a wow.

Love, Sex and Cider - Jacuzzi Theatre - follow the lives of four
hormone-ridden Geordie teenagers in a particularly eventful week. A hilarious
reminder for those that can remember and an insight for those that can't,
of the trials and tribulations of youth. RECOMMENDED AGE 14+. Contains
moderate language and sexual references.
