"Art wanted," the ad said so Art came. He is a painter heavily
into white, antique white, off white he's your man, but colour - he
doesn't do colour. The two strange people who placed the ad, are fading
away for lack of art . Mr Guffaw trys to give them what they need. With
easels and dancing fruit and a nice line in juggling he aims to follow
Picasso who said, "Painting is a trick".
Jim Jackson is a
extremely, fine clown, with animated props which really come alive in
his hands. Art Guffaw is a very engaging chararcter and the patter and
timing is spot on. I'm sure Art will make you bubble with laughter if
you catch him at the week end. As the little critic told us all at the
UK premiere Art's "That's a very, very, very funny man!"
