Simple, imaginative.

There's a man lying on his back polishing a tin surrounded by boxes of all shapes and sizes. A pixie like person gets us all seated. "Now we're all here," she says, "lets get started" and runs behind the fence at the back of the stage.

Some of the boards of the fence lift and she appears and talks to the prone man. He admits he's bored and so is she. There's nothing in the boxes so it seems her suggestion of opening a shop isn't going to work. But a chance remark from the man - "I've got nothing but words" - gives her a wonderful idea. The shop could sell words. And now when they open the boxes they find words.

It's a simple, imaginative idea where the words collected in each box have reasons for being with their fellows. The large box of rude words is also smelly and the box of angry words gets noisy when the man and the girl get at odds with each other. She energetically darts about the place, the man is slower and shyer but together they play at being the seller and the buyer of words.

They're open to the children's suggestions and reactions, giving the audience clear expression of delight, alarum and surprise at what they find. It all goes to make this a fresh, bright peice about how two can have more fun than one, how acquaintances go thorough rocky and smooth time and how words can make us fear, bring us friends and make fun happen.
