Holyrood Park

The New Year's Day Tri-athlon has different organisers this year, but it's the same idea as in past years with a serious competition involving a swim, a bike and a run, and also a charity fun run for three age levels, The Great Pyjama Race.

The event will run from Moray House in Holyrood Road at the University's 25m 6 lane teaching pool.

The transition area will be across the street in the university car park on St Johns Street.

The Triathlon

The swim will be a 300m continuous wave, based on swimming up and down each lane making your way from one side of the pool to the other.

The cycle will be 3 laps of Arthurs seat, approx 20km.

The run will be one lap of Arthurs seat, approx 5km.
