Holyrood Park hosts a showcase of fine food and drink, Michelin star and top chefs demonstration and culinary inspiration from Scotland.

Now in it’s fourth year, the founding Foodies event is one of four festivals taking place across the UK this summer, including Hampton Court Palace, Leeds, Oxford, Edinburgh.

This year, visitors will get the opportunity to see The Scottish Restaurant Award’s ‘Chef of the Year’ and ‘Restaurant of the Year’ 2010 Geoffrey Smeddle of the Peat Inn; Edinburgh’s Mary Contini of Valvona & Crolla and Tony Borthwick of the Plumed Horse; Glasgow’s favourites Paul Tamburini of Hotel du Vin and Stephen Richmond of Yo! Sushi as well as Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Food Award winner Pete Gottgens of Ardeonaig.

The event also features hands-on food and drink masterclasses with plenty of tasting; over 100 speciality producers and local exhibitors; favourite local restaurants and top bars and a Veuve Clicquot champagne tent, as well as live entertainment and children’s masterclasses.

This year visitors will be treated to a taste of Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival as comedians take to the stage in the Chefs Theatre to mix cooking with comedy, there will also be a live entertainment stage showcasing award winning Fringe performances including music, dance and comedy.
