Auld rivals Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors go head to head on the second day of the year at Murrayfield Stadium for the historic 1872 Cup, the world’s oldest club derby competition.

The battle for supremacy between the two cities has enough significance but the chance to pick up silverware – and the knowledge that victory could go a long way to ensuring one of the pair end up as the first ever Scottish winners of the Magners League – adds extra spice to the occasion.
