Rick Mather founded Rick Mather Architects in 1973 will envision how architecture can combine with culture and creativity in re-visioning urban spaces.

A native of Oregon, Mather came to the UK to study urban design at the Architectural Association. His work has since been published and exhibited around the world including the acclaimed South Bank Masterplan and the recent major refurbishment of Oxford’s Ashmolean Museum. He has served on councils of the RIBA and the Architectural Association and is a former Trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum. He was recently awarded the Ellis F Lawrence Medal, the highest award for an alumnus of the University of Oregon.
