Description

We’ll spend a day in a relaxed and friendly group, learning about many aspects of taking a great photo that are nothing to do with your camera and equipment. We’ll start looking at things differently, and becoming more aware of how to compose a great shot. Come and start to learn to see the world with a photographer’s eye!

This one-day workshop will be particularly helpful for people who haven't had the opportunity to spend time thinking about photo composition before. This is an exciting chance to find out how to make some simple changes can have a major impact on the photos you take. The workshop is packed with practical tips on composition, and there will also be time to try out putting them into practice. Augustine United church in the beautiful city of Edinburgh is just off the Royal Mile, so we'll have easy access to many historic and fascinating parts of Edinburgh to take photos.

It doesn’t matter what sort of camera you bring, or how little photography experience you've had. As long as you can point and shoot, and are willing to have a go, we can have fun looking at some of the many elements that can come together to make your photos stand out from the crowd.

Cost: £55 per person (excluding lunch).

Please email me if you would like to either book a place or find out more about the day (or call me on 0131 337 8727). Places are limited, and payment is required to book your place on the workshop.

The workshop will be repeated on Saturday 16th June and Saturday 14th July.

If you want to learn all about the technical side of photography, this workshop is not for you.
