Description

On Sunday 22nd January the Gothenburg Tavern in Prestonpans will be holding another Family Burns Storytelling Ceilidh. The event will be hosted by storyteller Tim Porteus, and will include music, song, drama, poetry and dance. Tim explains "like last year, this Burns event will be family friendly, suitable for all ages, lots of fun and a great opportunity to celebrate our language, culture and Burns' life and work."

Local musicians, storytellers, singers and actors will come together to make a Burns event to remember. But there will also be an opportunity for those attending to get involved, and children in particular will be invited to take part or share a poem, song or story they like.

"It's an event not to be missed " says Tim, " because this is not just a Burns supper, it's the Family Burns Storytelling Ceilidh at The Goth".

Tickets

£5 per adult, £2 per child, under 5s free.

Tickets can be reserved at The Gothenburg Tavern, Prestonpans. The proceeds of the event will go to the charity "Young Storytellers of Scotland" which promotes storytelling and cultural creativity amongst young people, and of course the Gothenburg Tavern itself uses its proceeds to suport cultural activities in the area.
