Description
The Brewin Dolphin Borders Book Festival is a book festival for all ages that takes place in Harmony Garden, Melrose in the Scottish Borders.
When Borders Book Festival started in 2004, it was with only four authors: William Dalrymple, Norman Davies, Melvyn Bragg and Allan Massie.
Since 2004, Borders Book Festival has increased its number of performers from 4 to over 60 and grown its audience from 220 to 13,000.
As well as live readings and author events it sees the award of the Walter Scott prize for Historical Fiction of £25,000
