The Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh together with the Japanese Studies department at the University of Edinburgh are delighted to welcome you to a free Japanese Film Festival at the University of Edinburgh.

Each Friday until the 20th February, we will be offering a free screening of a different contemporary Japanese film, accompanied by a short explanatory talk from a series of relevant speakers including members of the Japanese Department.

Please join us on Friday 6th February at 50 George Square, University of Edinburgh, for our screening of 2012 film, My Way of Life

Directed by Hideki Wada

Shujiro, a university professor, has recently lost his wife and has been living in despair. Despite his daughter Yuriko's anxiety about him, he starts to develop odd behaviour, which becomes a real problem for his family.

Doors open at 6pm and the introductory talk and film will start at 6.30pm. Simple refreshments will be served after the screening.

This is a free event that is open to all. However, there is a seating limit in the venue, so we would be grateful if you could book your place in advance through EventBrite.
