Description
Exciting new duo Viviane Chassot (accordion) and David Pia (cello) from Switzerland will make their Scottish debut in Edinburgh with an exclusive programme put together for this occasion - including the world première of several pieces written for them by the composer Helena Winkelman, as well as Bach’s Gamba Sonata in D major, Schumann’s Fünf Stücke im Volkston and Piazolla’s Grand Tango.
The duo’s unusual combination of instruments represents a new venture for this concert series. The prize-winning pair, who graduated in Switzerland, currently work with eminent conductors and are frequent guests at international festivals.
