Sometimes known as the Rachmaninov Vespers, this setting of the eastern Orthodox vigil was one of the composer's favourites among his own works, and is widely considered to be his greatest. Under the baton of Musical Director Alistair Digges, Chorus Awards 2016 winners The Edinburgh Singers will be performing the entirety of this breathtakingly beautiful unaccompanied piece, including both the evening Vespers and the morning Matins.
The choir invite audience members to join us after the performance for a complimentary glass of wine.
£12/£10 (under 12s free) available from www.thequeenshall.net, 0131 668 2019 or on the door. Performance length one hour.
