Fizz Feast - A Celebration of Sparkling Wine & Scottish Artisan Food

Time & place
Description

The inaugural Fizz Festival was an absolutely fabulous event in October, 2016. Following this success, Fizz Feast “A Celebration of Sparkling Wine & Scottish Artisan Food” is taking place on Saturday 18 November 2017 at The Edinburgh Academy, Henderson Row.

"Why do I drink champagne for breakfast? Doesn't everyone?" Noel Coward

Fizz Feast is the only consumer wine fair in Scotland dedicated to sparkling wine with a range of sixty champagnes and sparkling wines from around the world. What a perfect time of year to learn about and sample an eclectic range of wines, purchase a few bottles and perhaps order a box or two well before the fizzing Festive season.

On offer will be Taittinger Champagne, Prosecco and Franciacorta from Italy, Codorniu’s famous Spanish Cava, and excellent English Sparkling Wine from Greyfriars Vineyard amongst a diverse selection.

To complement the wines, there will be a handpicked collection of gourmet food producers such as Stag Bakeries from the Isle of Lewis, Tobermory Fish Company, Mull, Damn Fine Cheese from Dumfries & Galloway, fine chocolatiers and tea merchants. And the perfect accompaniment to champagne is of course a platter of fresh oysters.

Organised by Diana Thompson of Wine Events Scotland, Fizz Feast promises to be a most inspiring shopping event - quality, specialist food and drink for your Christmas & New Year parties and presents.

As Diana says, “Christmas is the time of year to embrace all things sparkling. This is the perfect opportunity to plan festive fizz and gifts for family and friends".

I only drink Champagne when I’m happy and when I’m sad.” Lily Bollinger

Perfect advice as we head towards the bleak midwinter!
