T in the Park
The summer's major Scottish rock festival, organised by DF Concerts, is named after its chief sponsor, the brewing company Tennents.
T in the Park has been held annually since 1994. It was originally held at Strathclyde Park, but since 1997 has been held at the airfield in Balado, near Kinross. Since 2007, T in the Park has run over three days in July , instead of two.
There are seven stages of music, a large camping area (opens Thursday), with stalls, funfair, and Big Wheel.
Headliners at T in the Park 2012 are Snow Patrol, The Stone Roses, and Kasabian.
T in the Park tickets
Early bird tickets are up for grabs from first week of December. Tickets sell out quickly, with premium priced resident packages last to go. While there are other channels selling T in the Park tickets, Ticketmaster is the official ticket agent for the festival for re-sales. Some people are offering tickets on the T in the Park Facebook page.
Getting there from Edinburgh
There are shuttle buses from major bus and train stations to the T in the Park site gate. The festival discourages driving, but check traffic reports before you go (Edinburgh car).
