Watson & Oliver: Bring the laughter

Female comediennes Ingrid Oliver and Lorna Watson are Festival favourites, returning for their third year after two years of sell out shows. Playing to a full house, they once again managed to entertain the crowd with a brand of humour suitable for the whole family.

Watson and Oliver have been making their name through comedy shows like Peep Show and The IT Crowd, and it was easy enough to become engrossed in their sketch world. Especially as you never really knew where the sketch would take you, except that there would always be something that made you laugh.

Something of a distraction was the air conditioning machine in the corner of the room, which could make things hard to hear, and I missed some of the jokes because of it.

Overall, this was another piece of well written comedy. Although some sketches failed to hit the funny bone as much as others, their tightly written sketches and likeable personalities still shone through.

A perfect night out for the whole family, young and old.
