The dark studio in Brown Street has tiered seating on three of its sides and on the fourth was sitting the guitarist and vocalist. Out from the black curtain behind came the dancer.

Flamenco A3 is a minimalist, traditional flamenco concept that combines the thee basic elements of flamenco - singing, dancing and the guitar.

Flavio Rodrigues is from Sao Paulo in Brazil and has played the flamenco guitar all over the world with many famous flamenco artists. It was he who started the performance. He released his first solo album, Anyways, in 2010.

Pedro Obregón is originally from Cordoba in Spain. He recorded his first solo album in Barcelona in 2003 and now he is one of the most sought after flamenco singers on the Madrid scene. Before long he was singing to us.

And then David Coria, from Seville, jumped through the black curtain to dance on the hard wood platform stage. Now we knew were watching a real flamenco performance by three of the best. Initially wearing a black outfit, David Coria later appeared in white. Whether by design, or the perspiration the sheer hard work, columns of fine water were thrown off his fine head of hair as he danced - all adding to the excitement. Back into a black outfit for more dance, and the performance was over - all too soon. Well done!

Event: Saturday 20 August 2011 at 7pm. Runs from 17th to 27th August 2011 at 7pm.
