Line-up announced for T Break stage at T in the Park 2008

At a series of 8 gigs in May, Tennent's Lager were delighted to give 48 of the best unsigned acts in Scotland the chance to showcase at sell out gigs in Edinburgh and Glasgow in what were some of the most electrifying gigs in the history of T Break.
A panel of industry judges, made up of Tennent's partners in the event at DF Concerts, Radio 1, the Sunday Herald, PRS and HMV, as well as other key industry figures including A & R representatives attended the showcases. The high standard of the performances made it a difficult decision but the panel have now reached their conclusions and 16 T Break bands will be rocking the crowd the T in the Park crowd at Balado this 11th, 12th and 13th July.
BE A FAMILIAR; COME ON GANG; DEPARTURES; EX WIVES; HAIGHT-ASHBURY; ISOSCELES; JOCASTA SLEEPS; JOE ACHESON QUARTET; NO KILTER; RUNNING WITH HORSES; STATE OF AFFAIRS; THE DOWN AND OUTS; THE FIRE AND I; THE KING HATS; WE SEE LIGHTS; ZOEY VAN GOEY will now appear at the biggest gig of their careers playing on the same bill as The Verve, R.E.M and Rage Against the Machine.
The T in the Park careers of bands such as Snow Patrol and Biffy Clyro, as well as Attic Lights and Sergeant more recently began with performances on the T Break Stage which has helped secure its reputation as the place to the freshest unsigned talent in Scotland. Always ready to show their support to T Break, members of Snow Patrol have even been known to pop down to help judge at the occasional showcase.
The T Break CD sampler, featuring tracks from each of the bands will be onsale in HMV from Monday 14th July and in the meantime band demos are available at www.tbreak.co.uk

Last year Attic Lights became the subject of a bidding war after playing T Break and they now have a 5 album deal with a major label.
