T in the Park announces the addition of a very special Main Stage guest in the form of the gorgeous Sharlene Spiteri who is set to play an exclusive two song acoustic set on Sunday 13th July. With only one day to go until festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partners, Tennent's Lager open the festival gates, T in the Park today reminds festival-fans of all bonanza of onsite activity to keep them entertained over the weekend as there is a whole host of fantastic live entertainment, stages and expanded zones to explore.
Car Parking
Car parking tickets for T in the Park will be available on site but will be extremely limited. Fans are advised to travel with our official transport provider Citylink. Not only is bus the greenest way to travel, but will also bring you closer to the drop off point.
Thursday Camping
The campsite will be a hive of activity as it opens for the first time ever on Thursday night.
Thursday camping is available to buy onsite from midday on Thursday 10th July. Campers will be able to not just beat the Friday rush, but they'll also check out the Silent Disco, powered by Duracell, Cabaret Voltaire Boom Bus DJ's, campsite cinema, the fun fair a wide range of stalls, bars and kiosks as part of this fantastic additional evening.
Fancy Dress Friday
T in the Park is putting out a call to all campers to dig out their favourite costumes and take part in Fancy Dress Friday. A new attraction for 2008 - T in the Park wants to turn Friday 11th July into the most colourful campsite in the UK, and are asking campers to come in all kinds of fantastic costumes, whether they be historic, superhero themed or indeed in homage to the festival itself, as after all, T in the Park was the first event at which festival-goers celebrated their attendance in this way.
We're not just looking for T in the Parkers to glam up - it's their tents as well! Festival fans should be conspiring with their mates now to come up with fantastic themes as an event photographer will be roaming the campsite and the best costumes and most innovatively dressed up tents will be rewarded with the very first tickets to T in the Park 2009, and the winners put on the website post event. Those pulling out all the stops are in with a chance to win!
Healthy T
Healthy T, with support from the Scottish Government has been expanded and is situated in a new bespoke gladed area, close to the Pet Sounds Arena.
It's the place to unwind and enjoy the best nutritious food from around the globe. T in the Parkers can sample the very best in healthy Scottish produce from Foods from Argyll, with delights on offer including organic lamb burgers and Cullen Skink. Tasty crepes, freshly prepared smoothies and for even freshly prepared sushi are all on offer.
Building on the success of last year, Healthy T has now expanded to cover mind, body and soul ... indulge from a selection of our holistic treatments including Indian Head Massage, Neck and shoulder massage and reiki.
Also keeping festival-goers on their toes will be Mischief La Bas who'll be showcasing their onsite activity, watch out for spiv traders and emotional security. The Village Disco will also be there - a small but perfectly formed mobile disco complete with glitter ball. There'll also be daily Capoeria displays to look out for. Free fruit will also be given away by models in ‘fruity' carnival headdresses
T Break Stage
At a series of 8 gigs in May, Tennent's Lager were delighted to give 48 of the best unsigned acts in Scotland the chance to showcase at sell out gigs in Edinburgh and Glasgow in what were some of the most electrifying gigs in the history of T Break. The arena will present the Vans BMX and skate tour in association with Relentless, the Relentless UK Freestyle Moto-x tour and the Animal Relentless mountain bike tour. Duracell Powerhouse
The Duracell Powerhouse is set to make its fourth appearance at T in the Park throwing up musical thrills into the wee hours on the legendary campsite, featuring some of Europe's hottest DJ's. As regular festival-goers will know, the Duracell Powerhouse keeps the campsite entertained late into the night, making the music last longer, much longer.
The Powerhouse will also host Duracell's unique battery exchange which allows festival-goers to swap used batteries for brand new Duracell Ultra M3's: the perfect battery for music devices.

The Xbox Rock Band Live Tent is looking for motley T in the Park crews to give outrageous performances beneath the lights. They want T in the Parkers goers to get dressed up, practice their moves and blow the panel out of the seats. The most impressive performances will be filmed an put on the website, with the winning bands blagging themselves a trip to the Xbox Weekender in Ibiza, VIP transfers to the Ibiza Rocks hotel including return flights, accommodation, VIP transfers to the Ibiza Rocks hotel plus spending money.

This summer, the Volvo C30 R-Design and team will be living it up at T in the Park. They are hoping that T in the Parkers will swing by their airstream and say hello. Lockerboxes
T in the Park announces today that Lockerboxes will be available to purchase onsite. Perfect for storing small valuables such as mobiles, wallets and cameras, all lockers come with an inbuilt 12v charging facility and are the only way to charge your phone onsite (campers will need to use a 12v car plug - the one that goes in a cigarette lighter). So make sure you can keep in touch and rent one as soon as you've got your tent pitched!

Music fans who can't be at Balado this summer can take comfort in the fact that T in the Park's media partner, the BBC are back onsite and having announced that this year's team of top talent include Scotland's favourite, Edith Bowman (Radio 1), up-and-coming star Jeff Leach (BBC Switch), Radio 1's Vic Galloway and El Presidente's Laura Marks are preparing for a truly hectic weekend of coverage which spans BBC One, Two, Three, Radio 1, online and interactive.
