The Souljazz Orchestra combine funk & afrobeat, taking cues & influences from related genres such as jazz, boogaloo & soul, adding spirituality & politically aware lyrics to complete this superb musical combo pumping out a raw groove, perhaps best described as "earthquaking afrofunk".

With heavyweight backing from international DJs such as Radio 1's Gilles Peterson, the band are constantly on the road and we have secured a slot in their worldwide tour schedule, giving you the chance to catch this multicultural, multilingual and multigender group in an intimate setting.

Support on the night will be from Edinburgh favourites "Departure Lounge" who specialize in "heavyweight global sounds" (in fact this night is part of their 5th birthday celebration).  We can safely say that this night is going to be one to remember!
