ART EXHIBITION IS MAJOR DRAW TO SAVE CHILDREN’S LIVES
Save the Children’s flagship store on South Bridge is holding a unique Art Exhibition and Sale as part of ‘Save the Children Week’, on Thursday 1 May from 7pm-9pm. The paintings are the work of Kate Drummond, a volunteer in the shop who has years of experience of painting watercolours.
Everyone is invited and asked to bring along their art-loving friends. Entrance is free and refreshments will be provided.
Danny McGill, Save the Children‘s South Bridge Shop Manager, said:
“This is great opportunity to get your hands on a unique, affordable piece of artwork, whilst helping save children’s lives. These beautiful paintings will raise money which will go towards water purification tablets, to provide safe drinking water for children, or a treated mosquito net to prevent a child catching life-threatening malaria”.
Save the Children week is Save the Children’s annual fundraising week. This year the charity is raising money to save ten million children’s lives around the world.

About Save the Children
Notes to Editors:
Save the Children is the world’s independent children’s charity. We’re outraged that millions of children are still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection. We’re working flat out to get every child their rights and we’re determined to make further, faster changes. How many? How fast? It’s up to you.
