Edinburgh Interactive Festival 2008

The Edinburgh Interactive Festival continues to grow both in size and in stature with the 2008 program.

In addition to the busy program of talks workshops and film screenings, this year saw
the introduction of the Games Feature Area, a free to enter three day event where people
could test drive the latest games by top publishers for all the main gaming platforms.

This year's Games Screenings included a visit by Elite legend David Braben with his Wii
adventure, LostWinds. Codemasters made a very welcome re-appearance, and Ubisoft were also
here with their much anticipated voice activated EndWar.

The Conference Schedule was another excellent line-up, showing exactly why the EIF is the
place to be and be seen for anyone in the business or aspiring to get there.

The Games Feature Area proved to be very popular, with games such as Little Big Planet and
Rise of the Argonauts entertaining visitors and delegates alike. Nintendo's DS Cooking Guide
was particularly well attended, with regular half hour sessions of Cookery Lessons.

All in all, anyone serious about working in the Games Industry, or even just curious about
how the whole thing works needs to be at the EIF. 2009 here we come.

The Edinburgh Interactive Festival was held in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre
from Sunday 10th August – Tuesday 12th August 2008
