A new production of Death of a Salesman coming to King’s Theatre Edinburgh

One of the greatest plays of the twentieth century, Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman, will have its only Scottish date at Edinburgh’s King’s Theatre in June 2017 as part of a UK tour after opening in Northampton in April.

This masterpiece by Miller will be produced by touring theatre company Royal & Derngate, whose Artistic Director James Dacre commented, “Its central character, Willy Loman, is facing an uncertain future. On the brink of unemployment and haunted by missed opportunities, he feels abandoned by those around him and ignored by his country. Why does the world no longer work for him? Has his American dream become a nightmare? Death of a Salesman shows how this man, his family and his country face their uncertain future."

The play will star award winning actor Tim Pigott-Smith and be directed by Abigail Graham and further casting will be announced early in 2017.
Tuesday 20 – Saturday 24 June 2017. Tickets will go on sale from 4 January 2017.
