Beauty cast:

TY 40s or 50s. Charismatic, charming, self-obsessed and extremely focused on his art.
HELOISE 30s or 40s. Looks amazing for her age. Can sing. French, actress / model, elegant, likes attention, loves Ty, used to the world seeing the worst.
JUSTINE Late 30s or 40s. Single mum. Once a successful journalist but now scrabbling for a story. Poses as the mother of one of the teenage models to gain entry to Ty’s house. Slightly crumpled by life.
CALLUM (Needs to be same age or older than Ty.) Ty’s agent. Bumbled into his career when he wasn’t good enough to be an artist. He’s not the most practical of men, enjoying the glamour rather than the effort of his job.
TIFFANY 14. Born and bred stage school. Sings brilliantly. Extremely accomplished but perhaps her soul is hollow.
RUBY 16. An ordinary teenager. Wants to be famous, whatever it takes. Also sings.
BRAD 16. Street smart because he has to be. Very popular with the ladies. Out for a laugh.

There are no any age restrictions for anyone wishing to audition although any production involving under 18 year olds now needs to get a licence from Edinburgh Council so any under 18 year olds cast will need to fill out some paperwork. Our Child Protection Policy is available on request. All cast members will need to join the group for insurance purposes and membership is £25 for the calendar year. There is currently no offer of any discount for junior or retired members.

Rehearsals will be three times a week from the middle of May and likely to be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons but with such a small cast, this can be varied to suit.
Characters will be called to rehearsals by scene so won’t be needed for all rehearsals. Rehearsals involving any under 18s will only start once exams are finished, if relevant, at the end of May. The cast will also need to be available on the evening of Saturday 6 August to help with the move into the theatre and on Sunday 7 August for the dress / technical rehearsal in the venue.

Auditions will be held at the Grads rehearsal space 18 Buccleuch Place on Wednesday 29th March from 7pm & Sunday 2nd April 2pm.

Both productions will run from Monday 7 August to Saturday 12 August 2017.
