Final Allocation of Edinburgh Fireworks Concert Tickets Go On Sale

The final allocation of tickets for the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert go on sale on Sunday 29 August at 10.00am, available only in person from the counter of Hub Tickets at The Hub on Edinburgh's Castlehill. Tickets to the concert in the gardens cost £11.

The annual grand finale to the Edinburgh International Festival, the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert takes place in Princes Street Gardens on Sunday 5 September at 9.00pm. The performance will be relayed to the Family Viewing Area at Inverleith Park which will once again boast enhanced visual and audio facilities for families to enjoy.

The programme will feature music from classic American movies performed live by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra led by Clark Rundell, with a choreographed fireworks display against the unique backdrop of Edinburgh’s iconic castle.

The SCO will perform Leonard Bernstein's Oscar nominated score for On the Waterfront (1954), the film which made Marlon Brando a star; Bernard Herrmann's Marnie (1964), the psychological thriller starring a young Sean Connery, considered by some as Hitchcock's last masterpiece; Franz Waxman's score for Taras Bulba (1962) which starred Yul Brynner and Tony Curtis; and begins in dramatic style with extracts from King's Row (1942), the film that launched Ronald Reagan's Hollywood career, with music by ' the father of film music' Erich Wolfgang Korngold.

Festival fans need to get to The Hub early to purchase tickets as the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert is a hugely popular event with tickets snapped up quickly.

Tickets cost £11, are limited to 4 per person and are for access to Princes St Gardens.
