Three areas of Edinburgh have been suggested as possible areas for mountain biking in new reports. Local community groups working in the areas commissioned the reports with the help of the City of Edinburgh Council Countryside Ranger Service and funding from Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).

Scotland's biggest bike ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh. Edinburgh riders can get the bus from Craighall Road adjacent to the western side of Victoria Park (where the ride finishes) in the early morning through to Glasgow (book ahead). The ride itself starts by the Winter Gardens at Glasgow Green between 8am and 10am and ends at Victoria Park, Edinburgh (which has a feeding station).
