A 15th century tenement house at the top of the Royal Mile, just below Edinburgh Castle Esplanade, that has a (visible) cannon ball lodged in its outer wall. The cannon ball marks the height of the city's first piped water brought to Edinburgh Old Town. During the Fringe free daily walks with volunteer tour guides down the Royal Mile start here.
