About the venue

The SEC Centre in Glasgow is one of Scotland's largest venues for major concerts, consumer shows, and conferences.

One of the three main venues within the Scottish Event Campus, the venue was formerly known as the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre until its rebrand in 2017.

Among the many meeting rooms, Concert Hall 4 and Concert Hall 3 have the largest capacity with 10,000 and 5,000 respectively. 5,000 respectively.

In 1997, the venue saw completion of the first of two major expansions, the 3,000 capacity Clyde Auditorium, known by Glaswegians as "the armadillo".

In 2013, the 12,500-seat arena SSE Hydro was added as part of the Queens Dock 2 area regeneration plan.

The venue is owned by holding company SEC Limited, which is 91% owned by Glasgow City Council and 9% privately.
