The Scottish Storytelling Centre and Netherbow Theatre

The old Netherbow Arts Centre has had a £3.5 million makeover into the Scottish Storytelling Centre. At the same time, the Church of Scotland, owners of the building, opened the doors to a new 99-seater theatre and presentation space in May 2006. The Old Town location, halfway down the Royal Mile, by John Knox's house, is an appropriate one for hosting storytelling events for children and all the community. A variety of professional companies pass through here.
