The Store
Formerly the GRV this is just off the Cowgate (next door to the gap site of the former Gilded Balloon) is a late night club haunt.
About the GRV
The GRV (aka The Green Room and The Green Room Venue) launched as a music and club venue in November 2007.
The refurbished GRV comprised of a 300 capacity venue and bar on the ground floor, with live performance space downstairs, a soundproofed recording studio and large, naturally lit exhibition gallery on the second floor, and a completely self-contained film studio on the third floor.
The venue set out with ambitions to be "much more than a performance space," declaring on its website that it would be a place to network, meet peers and make deals.
"The objective was to design a place where art could be created and exhibited. Shows could be performed, filmed, and distributed."
The GRV was put up for sale by its bankrupt owner Edinburgh University Settlement in October 2010
