Whigham's Wine Cellars

Since it opened back in August 1983, the converted wine cellars at the corner of Charlotte Square Garden has become a popular watering hole with the winebar set among them local office workers, tourists and New Town residents.

The small, candlelit  basement bar with its cubbyholes, narrow space, and sawdust on stone floors has a distinctive intimacy and character, especially as people crush in of an the evening. That's also part of the appeal. The bar flows out into the basement area around the corner of Charlotte Square.
