The Reviews

Nice location for a pizza

This is a pleasant spot to stop on a warm summer’s day, with the Water of Leith running beneath you, with occasional passers-by on the river path.

Access to the restaurant is on Deanhaugh Street, just across the Stockbridge bridge.

On arriving my nine-year-old was given drawing games and a packet of crayons, along with the menu which is always a nice touch. A jug of iced, lemon water promptly arrived on our table, which was welcome as we’d just been doing lengths at Glenogle swimming pool so had worked up quite a thirst.

There was a large group in this afternoon which meant that our meal was slow to arrive and we had no time to try the restaurant’s deserts on this occasion.

Our server was friendly and apologetic, and the “classic” Margherita was of medium size and so disappeared quickly.

My young dining companion was appreciative though at £9.95 for a basic pizza with no trimmings (the cheapest on the menu), it’s as much for the experience as the food that you eat at Pizza Express Stockbridge.

Pizza Express frequently offers vouchers with reductions. If I’d been more organised, I would have found that a current deal was offering 20% off for a limited time at the Stockbridge restaurant.
