Edinburgh Treefest is a lively, free, family festival revolving around trees and wood with interative crafts, stalls, displays, games, North American exhibition, axe throwing, horse logging, skate ramp, renewable energy, mountain biking display, live entertainment, refreshments, beer tent, and more. Treefest also has a market with many handcrafted, woodwork items for sale.
The event is organised by the Four Winds Inspiration Centre - which runs many traditional crafts workshops from its base in Inverleith Park such as wildwood working and cob house building. Past Tree Festivals have included interactive demos on traditional woodwork machines and expert advice from those normally found working in and for the preservation of Edinburgh's greenspaces.
