Ayrshire born comic Billy Kirkwood burst into stand up in 2005. Quickly establishing himself as one of the United Kingdom’s comedy's most watchable acts, with an ever expanding, cult following, thanks to his unique, yet slightly surreal style of storytelling, near non existent attention span, likeable on-stage presence and inventive energetic performances.

JAMIE DALGLEISH
Recently crowned Scottish Comedian of the Year 2011. Jamie has only been performing 18 months and is fast becoming a national treasure. He paints a comical picture of Glasgow characters, merging anecdote and observation together with a healthy dose of refreshing congeniality. A committed atheist, his material on religion and its defects is delivered with impressive drollness and reserve. An all round solid and shrewd performer.
KEARA MURPHY - performing Burns poetry
Last year Keara presented her brand new show at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival before taking it on tour to the Brighton Fringe then back home for The Leith Festival in June and The Edinburgh Fringe in August.
Keara toured all over the UK, including The Stand in Edinburgh and Glasgow; The Buzz Club, Frog & Bucket and The Comedy Store in Manchester; Raw Hide and Kill For A Seat in Liverpool; The Laughter Lounge, The International Bar and Gibneys in Dublin; Bar Cuba, Galway and The Belfast Empire. Over a long stand up career she has reached the semi-finals of the BBC Comedy Awards, The Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award, So You Think You’re Funny and she's had some glowing press for her Fringe shows.
ELEANOR MORTON – An up and coming act, a quick taste for the future.
Hot new stand up act and ukelele player Eleanor is a cooky leftfield act with plenty to offer, this is her fix debut.
VIV GEE – our compere for the evening
Viv is a trained actor and performance poet as well as a stand-up comedian. Previous gigs include compering T in the Park and Glasgow’s Hogmanay as well as supporting Mark Thomas, Jo Brand and Henry Rollins. She has also been a finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny and the BBC’s New Comedy Awards.
TV and radio appearances include Stake Out and Hedz for CBBC, Revolver, The Key, and Velvet Soup for BBC 2, The Today Programme for Radio 4, Fred Macaulay Show, Cover Stories, Comedy Café and Velvet Cabaret all for Radio Scotland.

A BURNS SUPPER
The Voodoo Room’s Restaurant are serving a Burns supper to all attendees. This would traditionally comprise a main course portion of Haggis mashed potatoes (tatties) and mashed turnip (neeps). We’ll be providing you with a Whisky to toast the Haggis. No doubt we’ll be keeping the tradition alive with some Robbie Burns poetry.
