Description

Edinburgh-based visual theatre, Vision Mechanics’ new production, Drift, is inspired by Betty Mouat, a 61 year old crofter, who in January 1886 drifted alone at sea from Shetland to Norway.

On a beach setting, a soundscape of 9 songs and 9 sculptural installations represent the days she spent at sea.

Directed/produced by Symon Macintyre, libretto by Judith Adams, composer Eddie McGuire and vocalist, Gerda Stevenson.

Admits one person every 5 minutes.

Times

Open 7am-noon and 2-9pm each day.

Performance lasts 40 minutes.

Not suitable for young children. Entry by donation. No pre-booking required
