Sprogmanay - as the name suggests - is 3 separate days of kids' activities at the Museum of Scotland over the Edinburgh's Hogmanay Festival. It's free and unticketed (apart from Tales of a Grandson), and operates on a "First Come First Served" basis.

Here's the programme:

FRIDAY 30 DEC - NOON - 4PM

Hogmanay arts and crafts activities
Explore the museum using our Hogmanay maps
Make mini lanterns in our arts and crafts hub then show them off during one of our four mini processions around the museum
Live music performances from Sprog Rock
Design-and-build a Dazzle Ship with Edinburgh Art Festival
Edinburgh International Science Festival buskers will entertain us throughout the afternoon
Red Bridge presentsTales of a Grandson in association with Imaginate Festival at 12.30pm and 3pm. Pre-booking for this event is now sold out however a small number of tickets will be available on the day from our Sprogmanay Hub in Hawthorden Court.
