Adam Riches is the winner of the prestigious Foster's Best Comedy Show 2011, it was announced at 2.30pm today in the packed Dovecot studios in Edinburgh.
Adam Riches Fringe mix of character sketches, anarchic stagecraft, and fearless level of audience engagement has grown from strength to strength with each festival.
EdinburghGuide.com reviewer Gabriel Neil said: "...bring Me the Head of Adam Riches is quite simply the most fun you are likely to have on The Fringe without being subject to arrest. He is a brilliant performer, his written material is intense, revealing surreal brilliance, and his improvisations are seamless and razor sharp... The Award for Foster's Best Newcomer went to Humphrey Ker is Dymock Watson: Nazi Smasher
This Year's Panel Prize went to The Wrestling
All three winning comedy shows are appearing at Pleasance Courtyard.
The awards were presented by last year's winner Russell Kane, and West End musical and movie star 2002 nominee Omid Djalili.
The Awards include cash prizes of £10,000 for Foster's Best Comedy Show, £5,000 for Foster's Best Newcomer, and £5,000 for the Foster's Panel Prize.
