The Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) is partnering with Learning and Teaching Scotland to broadcast select Festival education events live to schools across Scotland via GLOW Meet, the world's first national intranet for education on Tuesday 22 June.

Community orientated festival that celebrates the history and heritage of the Edinburgh Old Town in storytelling, lectures, tours, music, exhibitions, and other events. One of the less visible activities of the Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) is its its year-round programme of education and outreach. Around 1,000 young people are participating in workshops and projects this year, that explore the cultural diversity of performers and the ideas raised in the Edinburgh's flagship arts festival.

Blood and guts are on the menu at the Edinburgh International Science Festival in April. The annual festival of popular science, which aims to educate through hands-on activities and topical talks, has a new floor at one of its main venues, the City Art Centre, devoted to the human body.

This year’s International Science Festival (3-17 April) will include 46 events at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, with many events taking place at the Real Life Science Studio and other facilities at the Botanics’ new John Hope Gateway visitor and interpretation centre.
