Annual grass roots festival of traditional music and the arts taking place at venues across the city (only a few are listed above). More than 30 organisations come together to put on foot-stomping ceilidhs, late night concerts, folk clubs, storytelling and workshops by local and international performers.

Ceilidh Culture, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2012, attracts 15,000 people (2011 figures).

Past artists include Lau, crowned Best Group at the BBC Radio Two Folk Awards 2008, Julie Fowlis, winner of Album of the Year 2010, Scots Trad Music Awards and Karine Polwart, winner of Best Original Song 2007, BBC 2 Folk Awards In 2012 Ceilidh Culture celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The festival also includes a Ceilidh Culture Street Fair in Castle Street over the Easter weekend, selling a range of Scottish produce.

The full programme is launched in early February and tickets go on sale in mid-February.
