Edinburgh International Film Festival 2008
The Edinburgh International Film Festival, the longest continuously running film festival in the world, moved to a new fortnight-long run in June in 2008. Traditionally the EIFF has taken place in August, at the same time as the other August festivals.
Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, and Matthew Rhys stars of this year's Opening Film, the Dylan Thomas romantic drama The Edge of Love, were in Edinburgh for photocalls on the battlements of Edinburgh Castle. Many of the people behind the Closing film, MySpace user-led movie Faintheart were also here.
