The Meadows Festival is an annual, free community festival, that has been running since 1974, with sporting activities, local bands, stalls and family entertainment held on the West Meadows by Melville Drive. The Festival is for all who live, work or have a social or commercial interest in the area. It usually takes place on the first Saturday and Sunday of June.
The festival programme includes live performances on two specially erected stages, around 100 stalls, a primary school football competition, a pedal-powered cinema, an art tent, kids' tent with facepainting, circus skills workshop and the like, bar (serving scottish brews), and Taylor's fun fair.
If the sun is out then this is a great place to spend the day.
