In the run up to the Fringe I get an average of thirty requests per day for a
review in August. We do our best, here at EdinburghGuide.com, to give as wide and as comprehensive a series of reviews as possible. We try to cover as many venues as we can. But unlike G3 we are not supermen.

G3 sent me a YouTube clip about them coming to Edinburgh which hit the spot because of its
originality, and impressed me. I did suggest that they had missed the Film Festival by a week, but agreed to review their show.

When I arrive at the Caves on late Wednesday afternoon there is a full house. They start with a wonderful corruption of a line from Field of Dreams: "Perform and they will come". And they did - the audience enjoyed this very fresh series of sketches - sharp, witty and well crafted. Seldom do you get a pair of comedians that work well together; it's much rarer to find a trio whose talent and timing is so good.

Their superman chippendale routine was superb, as were the "ned" definitions, but my favourite had to be the flyer sketch which was dexterous and original, and very much appealed to my take on
flyering. The fireman interventions are a real stroke of genius.

Every sketch prompted audience applause - we don't see that very often.

If, I could, I would give them four and a half stars, only the fish sketch did not appeal to
the audience and stopped them from getting five stars.

These three lads with work, could become "Chewing the Fat" style young guns.

Watch out for G3, they may be on their way to a television near you very soon, and you
heard it here first!

To quote the parlance of The Ned, "One hundred per cent pure magic man!"
