This is a real treat of song and dance from two dozen boys and girls aged between 8 and 12 from villages in South Africa, close to the border with Swaziland and Mozambique. Four boys on drums set the mood before the others came on stage to give us an experience of music from Uganda, Swaziland and South Africa.

Nothing in English but their happy smiles told all. Ten minutes in and Godfrey took over as host telling us how he had been in the choir as a youngster and what an experience that had been for him. He had us all participating by teaching us when to clap, and along we went in joy with a very talented group of youngsters, naturally flamboyant and exuberant but all disciplined as a team.

And before we finished they had all told us their name and what they wanted to do when they grew up. Uplifting and great fun.
