Drummers are often in the background of great bands: less famous than their band mates while keeping the band in sync and providing the backbone which brings the music alive. However, in Fills Monkey: Incredible Drum Show the drummers (and of course the drum kit) are front and centre in this imaginative spectacle hitting the Fringe with a bang!

This show is for music lovers, noise lovers and people who love fun. It's energetic and highly entertaining from start to finish. The concept is simple, really: make as much noise as possible and have fun doing it!

Mischievous musicians Yann Coste and Sébastien Rambaud give not only outstanding and highly technical drumming performances but also keep the audience tapping their toes through their endless tricks and slapstick performances.

This is a wordless show with rhythm as its language. Gil Galliot directs the duo who effortlessly glide through different genres of music from jazz to rock, classical to heavy metal, playing their instruments with a whole array of different utensils including a very impressive sequence with tennis balls.

Coste and Rambaud are similar to a military band with their skills and technical precision but at the same time live up to their name - a pair of cheeky monkeys who never fail to surprise.

Credit must also be given to the lighting display by Nicolas Bernollin which adds to the comedic moments but also transports the audience to what feels like a rock concert arena, perhaps the 02 or Madison Square Gardens.

The audience acts as the third drum in the room and are encouraged to participate and fill the space with music. It doesn’t matter is you are 10 years old or 110 years old, this show caters for anyone and everyone.

Fills Monkey are the perfect showmen who celebrate music through a soundtrack of chaos and an incredible drum show of fun!
