Temporary Disruption on Calton Rd and Leith St

The Council warns motorists of a temporary traffic dispruption on Leith Street and Calton Road this weekend.

Sir Robert McAlpine will be dismantling their tower crane on Saturday 20 and Sunday the 21 of June. To carry out this operation it is necessary for the south bound lanes of Leith Street and the junction of Calton Road to be closed during this time. The closure will take place from 7am on Saturday 20 until 7pm on Sunday 21.

Advance warning signs have been erected informing the public of the work.

The diversion route will be:

FOR LEITH STREET:
YORK PLACE - QUEEN STREET - NORTH ST DAVID STREET - ST ANDREW SQUARE - SOUTH ST ANDREW STREET - PRINCES STREET

FOR CALTON ROAD:
AS ABOVE, THEN CONTINUE ON TO WATERLOO PLACE - REGENT ROAD - ABBEYMOUNT - ABBEYHILL - CALTON ROAD AND VICE VERSA.
