New York City based the TEAM are this year's recipients of the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe Prize, for their musical drama Mission Drift. The award supports up-and-coming talent at the Edinburgh Fringe by giving the winner the opportunity to develop their ideas or devise a new work for the official Festival.

The TEAM focuses on producing work which celebrates the experience of living in America today.

Mission Drift - which earned a 5 star review on EdinburghGuide.com - takes the audience on a journey across the USA in search of the character of American capitalism.

The EIF release describes it as thus: "Told through atomic blasts, lizard ballet, and music that fuses Vegas glitz with Western ballads and Southern blues, it follows the story of an immortal Dutch couple, setting out west from Amsterdam to New Amsterdam to financially devastated modern-day Las Vegas."

The TEAM will develop a new work which Festival audiences will get the chance to preview next year.
