Comedians

Craig Campbell – We score quite a scoop securing the charismatic Canadian on tour

Since moving to the UK this naturally eccentric personality has found his way on to radio and television with Russell Howard's Good News (BBC Three), From Wimps to Warriors (Sky One), Comedy Cuts (ITV2), Mitch Benn's Musical Comedy Show (BBC Radio 4), Out To Lunch (BBC Radio 2), Comedy Shuffle (BBC Three), Comedy Blue and Edinburgh and Beyond (Paramount Comedy).

He is known as an experienced stand up and has been called by Frankie Boyle and Rich Hall to support them whilst on tour. He has been described by the Edinburgh Evening News as someone who can "bring a tale to life like a young Billy Connelly"

John Gavin – The Current Scottish Comedian of the Year

A father of three girls, his set is almost entirely about his domestic situation, which he describes with warmth and wit, whether it be the compulsory Mamma Mia sessions or his six-year-old gaily singing pop hits with entirely inappropriate lyrics. His effortless likeability and unaffected charm make his conversational set all the more engaging

With a great amount of success under his belt, he was the Sunday Mail Comedy Champ and a So You Think You’re Funny Finalist in 2008. Recently winning the Scottish Comedian of the Year award in late 2009.

“John Gavin’s great strength is that he has a clear sense of identity…effortless likeability and unaffected charm…all the makings of a class act” CHORTLE
“an assured everybloke eager to decry his emasculation at having to watch Gok Wan and Mamma Mia!, yet eminently capable of nailing a cheeky Rudolph Hess line” THE SCOTSMAN
“Brilliant” – SUNDAY MAIL

Matt Winning & Martin Bearne – Up and coming acts, a quick taste of the future

Matt has recently won Chortle Student comedy competition 2010 Glasgow heat and was a quarter finalist in the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year 2010. He has a very cool stage presence and has some very original gags.

Martin is an Aberdonian comedian. The Evening News have described his style as “intensely self-deprecating anti-humour” and commented that “Bearne's material was well thought out and featured a string of killer one-liners.”

Bands

Horndog Brass Band - An eight-piece drum'n'brass marching band fresh from some storming gigs at the Spielgeltent during the fringe. Tuba-fuelled street funk. Drawn from Edinburgh's most eclectic talent in funk, ska, balkan, classical and jazz, this is a pack of musicians with a single goal: Serious beats for the feet. Growling on the street corner, or howling from the main stage... The Horndogs guarantee a brass-laden funky good time!
