VEGAS! - Scotland’s multiple award-winning club night - returns to Ocean Terminal in 2010 for a spectacular night of hedonism and hi-jinks, roulette and romance, swing and sophistication, vivaciousness and va-va-voom, glitz and glamour, moonlight and martinis, blackjack and bossa nova, showgirls and champagne, cocktails and kitsch.
Featuring Erik Hansen (from Los Angeles) with his 15-piece High Life Orchestra featuring vocals by the delectable Debbie Davis and, sensationally singing and swinging as Frank Sinatra, the magnificent Moray Innes and, as if that wasn’t enough, there’ll be eye-popping dance performances from The Kitsch Kats.
Your hosts Frankie Sumatra, Dino Martini, Bugsy Seagull and Sam Jose will be digging deep into their vinyl vaults to mine a rich seam of scintillating swing, riotous rat-pack gangster grooves, dynamic dancefloor jazz, libidinous latin, luscious lounge, good ol' country, classy crooners and diamond-studded divas, with a sprinkling of sanctified soul, fearsome funk, rhythm and blues, pristine pop and righteous rock.
Nikki Nevada and the ultra-glamorous VEGAS! Showgirls will inject some glitz, glam and va-va-voom into the room. The Fabulous Scott Brothers will preside over the roulette and blackjack tables in The Stardust Casino, and prizes will be awarded to the coolest cats and kittens in the ever-popular, and eagerly-contested, ’Most Stylishly Dressed’ competition.

Dame Fortune and Lady Luck have conspired to make the number 13 unlucky for some, but for those born under a bad sign - like the sinners and swingers of VEGAS! - it's most definitely a highly auspicious number!
For thirteen years VEGAS! has been throwing a monthly series of scintillating soirees of vivaciousness and va-va-voom, blackjack and bossa nova, glitz and glamour, style and sophistication, roulette and romance, moonlight and martinis, hedonism and hi-jinks that have lured the unsuspecting down into a fiery ring of decadence and debauchery that even Dante's fevered imagination would have struggled to conceive of. Add a twist of Dali, a hint of Marilyn magic, a shot of JFK's Camelot-era cool, a snare drum snap of beatnik jazz and a sprinkling of Rat Pack razzmatazz and you're getting close to the intoxicating cocktail of cool that VEGAS! has served up to an appreciative audience at home and abroad since it started all those years ago.
So Triskaidekaphobics (go ahead, look it up!) step aside, we're celebrating 13 years of VEGAS! and it's going to be a work of art to rival Daddy-O Mickey D'Angelo's paint job on the roof of the Sistine Chapel. It's gonna be the hippest, hottest summit meeting of swing and style since Frank, Dino, Sammy and the gang blew into Las Vegas and hit the Sands like a hurricane. We've booked the hottest big band - Erik Hansen (from Los Angeles) with his 15-piece High Life Orchestra featuring the delectable Debbie Davis and, sensationally singin’ & swingin’ as Frank Sinatra, the magnificent Moray Innes - who’ll be performing two sets of sophisticated swingin' sounds for dancers and romancers for your lindy-hoppin', hip-shakin' and finger-poppin' pleasure.
Of course, the real stars of the show at VEGAS! have always been the audience, so we're cordially inviting all hipsters and hepcats, swingers and sophisticates, wise guys and dolls, gangsters and molls, pimps, players and private eyes, hustlers, card sharks and mafia guys, femme fatales and divine divas, beatniks and bohos, cool cats and kitsch kittens, playboys and bunnies, jet-setters and go-getters to the Ocean Terminal to shine like crazy diamonds or burn like fabulous Roman candles exploding like spiders across the VEGAS! sky in our glittering night of a thousand stars.
